IU helmets contain sensors to monitor hits

This fall, for the fourth straight year, the Indiana University football team will use a state-of-the-art system to help its trainers and team physicians detect possible concussions. Called the "sideline response system," it uses sensors inside the players' helmets to alert trainers when a player has taken a blow to the head that has possibly caused a concussion.
