The Auxiliary Library Facility is a high-density shelving facility for IU Bloomington Libraries books, manuscripts and rare film collections. It provides low-cost housing with conservation-level environmental controls for library materials.

With the new extension, the facility now has the capacity to store between 5 and 6 million items within 583,000 cubic feet of space.
