Pease Keeps IU’s streak alive, advances to steeple final

DES MOINES, Iowa -- After advancing everyone on day one of the national meet, senior Sarah Pease kept IU perfect, qualifying for the finals in the 3,000m steeplechase. She will run in a Saturday final.

Pease clocked a season best of 10:05.89 to earn her way into the national final for the third-straight season. Pease took eighth in the faster of two heats, advancing by time. Her time would have been good for fourth in the first heat. Pease will run in the final at 1:54 pm ET on Saturday, which will be broadcasted live on CBS.

Friday brings the women's pole vault competition, featuring Kelsie Ahbe and Vera Neuenswander, and the finals of the men's steeplechase, with Andrew Poore, De'Sean Turner and Andy Weatherford.

The Hoosiers return to action at the NCAA Championships in Des Moines, Iowa on Friday, June 10.
