An Indiana University Bloomington anthropologist has been awarded $304,000 from the National Science Foundation to conduct the first-ever study into the interrelationship between functional immunity, endocrine status and sexual signaling in primates. Read the complete story.

IU Southeast enrollment, credit hours break all-time record in fall 2011
Floydcounty.wave3.com, Sept. 8 -- Indiana University Southeast has more students taking more classes than ever before, according to total enrollment and credit hour numbers for the fall 2011 semester. Total enrollment for the fall 2011 semester is 7,256 students, which is an increase of 1.1 percent over fall 2010. Full story.

IUPUI digitizes Indianapolis Recorder newspaper
The Republic, The Indianapolis Star, Sept. 9 -- A newspaper that's covered Indianapolis' black community since the 19th century has gone digital, making more than a century of black history available free of charge online. University Library staff members at Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis recently completed digitizing more than 5,000 issues of the Indianapolis Recorder dating from 1899 to 2005.
