Announcement on Tuesday concerning 2002 Little 500 plans
EDITORS: Indiana University Bloomington on Tuesday (Feb. 5) will announce plans concerning its annual Little 500 races and how students will dedicate them to memorializing victims of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Three IU students who lost parents at the World Trade Center on Sept. 11 will be joined by Little 500 riders, IU Student Foundation leaders and IU Bloomington Chancellor Sharon Stephens Brehm in making an important announcement about the 2002 event.
The announcement will be made at 10 a.m. in the Peterson Room of the IU Foundation's Showalter House, located on the State Road 45/46 By-Pass north of 10th Street. Ample parking will be available adjacent to the building. Arrangements have been made for electronic media covering the event.
