Joint Effort to Integrate World-Class Learning and Assessment Content with Advanced Career Pathing Technology will Provide Organizations Effective Ways to Strengthen the Skills of Their Workforce

CAMBRIDGE, Mass. — Zapoint, Inc., the leader in social career management software solutions, today announced plans to supercharge its SkillsMapper solution with the world-class faculty content of Kelley Executive Partners, the executive education arm of the The Kelley School of Business, a highly ranked business school of Indiana University. The joint efforts of both organizations will provide companies with a cost-efficient and accessible means of educating their workforce. Kelley's learning and assessment content combined with Zapoint's advanced career pathing technology will enable companies to customize employees' training courses while aligning with strategic organizational needs and priorities.

"Kelley's course offerings and leadership in American business education are first-rate," said Chris Twyman, founder and chief executive officer for Zapoint. "By combining Zapoint's technology platform with Kelley's executive level e-learning courses, we will be well-positioned to develop a comprehensive and never-before-seen career management and learning tool for customers looking to strengthen the skills and experiences of their workforce to ultimately improve their organization's bottom line."

Zapoint's proprietary technology, SkillsMapper, helps employees plot aspiring career paths within their organization and enables transparency into role requirements that allow employees to easily identify the skill gaps that need to be filled in order to progress to the next level within the company. At the same time, it allows managers and Human Resource (HR) to assign training to help close those gaps.

"Zapoint has created a fully integrated platform that gives employers the tools to engage and empower their workforce and help employees identify clear career paths within an organization," said John F. Cady, executive director for Executive Education at the Kelley School. "Zapoint's SkillsMapper is impressive and we recognize a great opportunity to not only tie in learning into their existing technology frame work, but to utilize it as an innovative vehicle that makes online education courses immediately available to a broader group of companies and their employees."

The new product version* will offer pre-loaded, bite-sized Master's level training courses, broken into five different disciplines - Marketing, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain and HR Management. Employees will have a chance to take courses at their own pace to improve their skills in key areas. As employees complete learning tracks and levels, they will be awarded certificates and their profiles within SkillsMapper will be updated to reflect the skills they have developed and strengthened. Customized industry content is also available to companies who use the system.

*This technology is under development and will be available for sale this Fall 2013.
