The death of 19 year-old IU Bloomington sophomore Peter Duong on September 9 has been met with an outpouring of sadness and fond remembrances from friends, classmates, and teachers. The campus community is invited to participate in a memorial service for Peter Duong on Wednesday, Sept. 16, at 8:00 p.m. in the McNutt North Dining Room.

 First-year students at Indiana University Bloomington cracked the 1,200 mark for SAT scores this year, continuing a trend of dramatic improvement in academic preparedness. The average combined math and critical reading SAT score for freshmen jumped 29 points to a record 1,203.

 William Yu, a 19-year-old IU honors student, graduated Phi Beta Kappa with majors in chemistry, mathematics and Germanic studies. Yu was named a 2009 Marshall Scholar by the British government, an honor that will enable him to spend two years earning master's degrees in Britain.

 A low-flying helicopter will pass over the Indiana University Bloomington campus Wednesday (May 20). IU has hired an Indianapolis company to shoot aerial photography and video of its Bloomington campus.

IA involves the processes of planning, overseeing implementation, and managing the growth of organizational structures that provide meaningful context in support of user understanding and mediate interaction between system content and user. These organizational structures include digital libraries, web sites, databases, information retrieval systems, educational software and even games.
