Children fare best with both mother and father

A study by sociologists at Indiana University in Bloomington and the University of Connecticut and published this month in the American Sociological Review, claims that adoptive parents invest more time and money in their children than biological parents do. According to one report on the study, "In particular, the researchers said, adoptive parents had a pronounced edge over single-parent and stepparent families."
