Informatics Robotic Vehicle Gallery Captions

Caleb Hess is driven around a parking lot by a computer-controlled vehicle programmed by informatics professors, technical staff and students during a test run on April 27.

Vishesh Panchal, first-year master's student in informatics, and Caleb Hess prepare the vehicle for a test run with student-written programming.

The vehicle is navigated by GPS points along a track. Programs written for the vehicle direct steering with a pulley located underneath the cart.

The dashboard of the robotic vehicle is equipped with a router to transmit data.

A laptop containing the navigation code for the vehicle is held in a basket on the back.
