Charlie Nelms, vice president for institutional development and student affairs, has resigned from his position at IU to become chancellor of North Carolina Central University in Durham, N.C. While at IU, Nelms led several major initiatives, both at the IU Bloomington campus and systemwide. A reception to wish Nelms farewell was held in the Ruth N. Halls Theatre and Neal Marshall Black Cultural Center on July 25.
