Enberg Studio

Enberg Studio

The Dick Enberg Distance Learning Studio is available at no charge to broadcast and radio outlets. The studio—named for award-winning sportscaster and IU alumnus Dick Enberg—combines the architecture of a traditional lecture hall with the capabilities of a television production studio, and it can be used to produce live one-way and two-way programs world-wide via IU's satellite system. It contains a 20-student classroom, a fully interactive audio-visual system, and production facilities.

Enberg, one of the most versatile broadcasters in sports history, earned a master's degree (1958) and a doctorate (1962) from IU School of Health, Physical Education, and Recreation. During his 50-year career, Enberg has won 14 Emmy Awards, one of which is on display in the Distance Learning Studio.

To conduct a broadcast interview with an IU faculty member or student, contact the media specialist who covers the subject area you're interested in. You also may contact George Vlahakis at (812) 855-0846 for more information or to determine the studio's availability.
