IU launches emergency alert system

An emergency alert system intended to spread warnings about possible dangers on Indiana University's campuses is up and running, and officials are encouraging students, staff and faculty members to sign up for it as soon as possible.
Connect-ED allows registered users to receive text messages, e-mails and phone calls in the event of an emergency situation on any or all of IU's eight campuses.
