Women's Swimming: The Indiana University women's swimming and diving team came up just short in its dual meet at Kentucky, falling 164-134 to the Wildcats Friday evening at the Lancaster Aquatic Center. Read the meet notes.
Men's Swimming: With victories in 12 of 14 swimming events, the Indiana University men's swimming and diving squad picked up a 186-114 dual meet victory at Kentucky Friday evening. Read the meet notes.
Women's Basketball: The Indiana women's basketball team fell to No. 21/22 Florida State, 85-78, in Assembly Hall on Friday, Nov. 30 in the inaugural Big Ten/ACC Women's Basketball Challenge. Read the game notes.

Women's Swimming: The Indiana women's swimming and diving team concluded its three-day stay Sunday at the Ohio State Diving Invitational at the McCorkle Aquatic Center in Columbus, Ohio. Competing on the platform, Brittany Feldman recorded her second top-10 finish in as many days by placing 10th with a score of 206.45. Amy Korthauer also advanced to the finals where she recorded a score of 202.40, good for 12th place. Read the meet notes.

McRobbie, IU officials meet with Chinese university delegation
WFIU, Nov. 30 -- Top administrators from Indiana University met Wednesday with their counterparts at Zhejiang University for a conference on "universities in the business sector." During the all-day symposium in Hangzhou, China, the presidents of Indiana and Zheijiang universities renewed affiliation agreements between the two schools. Read and listen to the full story.

Mental Illness And Drug Addiction May Co-occur Due To Disturbance In Part Of The Brain
Science Daily, Dec. 3 -- Why do mental illness and drug addiction so often go together? New research reveals that this type of dual diagnosis may stem from a common cause: developmental changes in the amygdala, a walnut-shaped part of the brain linked to fear, anxiety and other emotions. Study: Medical Schools Impact Physician/Drug Company Relationships: Drug Companies Spend $21 Billion to Market Products, Mainly to Doctors
INside Edge, Dec. 3 -- A review by researchers from the Indiana University School of Medicine and the Regenstrief Institute, Inc. takes a look at how medical schools impact the relationships between future doctors and drug companies. Officials say policy decisions to restrict contact between trainees and the pharmaceutical industry were associated with greater skepticism toward information given by drug company product representatives. After 14 years of waiting, IU is finally bowl bound
Indiana Daily Student, Dec. 3 -- Fourteen years without a bowl game had been 14 years too long. The IU football team ended the Big Ten's longest bowl drought Sunday night when it was officially named as the conference representative the Insight Bowl in Tempe, Ariz. "We are really excited to be invited to play in the Insight Bowl," said IU coach Bill Lynch. "To play a Big 12 opponent like Oklahoma State, that will be a great challenge for our football team. And I think it's a great reward to a bunch of kids who have battled through a lot this year." Read the full story.
