La Bohéme

Students work with assistant technical director Alissia Lauer to attach the rooftop to the set.

The multistory set of "La Bohéme" is being constructed at the rear of the stage of the IU Musical Arts Center. The unique technical capabilities of this stage allow for the large scale of the set. The only other stage in the U.S. that could hold this type of set is New York's Metropolitan Opera.

C. David Higgins is the set designer for the production "La Bohéme."

Assistant technical director Alissia Lauer secures the rooftop onto the set.

This alleyway of the set boasts authentic reproductions of actual 1890s advertisements.
