Beaux Arts Trio Farewell

Two attendees walk to the front of the Musical Arts Center to watch the Beaux Arts Trio give its final performance in Bloomington on June 28.

Violinist Daniel Hope, pianist Menahem Pressler and cellist Antonio Meneses laugh briefly during their rehearsal before the performance.

IU Distinguished Professor, pianist and founding member Menahem Pressler is the only original member of the trio, which debuted July 13, 1955.

People arrived early to get good seats at the sold-out performance.

Late arrivers hurry around the theater to get seated before the performance.

Tickets were sold out for the popular trio.

The house was filled with listeners of all ages.

The trio opened the show with Beethoven's "Trio in B-Flat Major, Op. 97."

Pressler signals the end of the movement.

The trio bows to great applause. At the end of the show, crowd response was so great that the trio performed two encore pieces, one by Hyden and the other by Dvorak.
