HUB, a mobile gallery
For the exhibition "HUB Phase I: A Collaboration of Art and Space" (Sept. 5-27, 2008), Indiana University School of Fine Arts master's students Derek Parker, Jonathan Dankenbring and LaRinda Meinburg and Associate Director of SoFA Gallery Rob Off, presented pieces that included layers of ladders, an "ideal living space" and representations of mold. For "HUB Phase II (Oct. 3-4, 2008), the art was removed from the gallery and placed on four moving trucks joined by a giant hub the four artists constructed. In spring of 2009, Off hopes the HUB can go on tour so other artists can display their work similarly.
