Carol Castaneda is an IU Northwest microbiologist whose work focuses on immunology talks about her love for teaching, especially teaching science to students who are afraid of science studies. Her former mentor, a well known Northwestern University microbiologist, credits her abilities as a teacher for his willingness to invite her best students to work in his laboratories.
