Founding Gates Foundation CEO to keynote Indianapolis Women's Philanthropy Conference

Civic engagement with a special focus on service learning is the theme of the second biennial Indianapolis Women's Philanthropy Conference on Friday, Nov. 8 in Indianapolis. Open to the public, the event offers a day of philanthropic exploration, education, and networking among leading nonprofit professionals and volunteers. IU honored with national CASE awards for communications efforts

IU Communications, the IU Alumni Association, IU Foundation and IU School of Education received Circle of Excellence awards from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education for several projects in website redesign, print magazine, internal communications and special events. The Street Smart Student Safety Campaign, started by a group of interns at IU Communications, won the Grand Gold Award for advertising campaigns, the first time Indiana University has won a Grand Gold Award.   Full Story >>

IU Women’s Philanthropy Council awards more than $120,000 in grants

The Indiana University Women's Philanthropy Council will award grants totaling $124,730 to 12 schools or organizations affiliated with four IU campuses. The awards range from $4,000 to $20,000 and will support projects that foster community outreach, career development, public health, student philanthropy, education and diversity at IU Bloomington, IUPUC, IUPUI and IU Southeast.   Full Story >>

Indiana University endowment among top 20 publics in nation

Indiana University ranks 16th in the nation among public universities in the market value of its endowment, according to the National Association of College and University Business Officers-Commonfund Study of Endowments. The annual study gathered data from 831 U.S. colleges and universities for fiscal year 2012.   Full Story >>

IU Women's Philanthropy Council invites 2013 grant applications

The Indiana University Women's Philanthropy Council invites individuals and organizations at all university campuses to submit applications for its second annual WPC Fund grant cycle. All Indiana University community members -- students, faculty and staff -- are encouraged to apply.
