Eppley Institute and IU School of Public Health-Bloomington to host symposium

The Eppley Institute for Parks and Public Lands at Indiana University, with the School of Public Health-Bloomington, the Department of Recreation, Park and Tourism Studies, and the Department of Environmental Health, is pleased to announce that the Symposium on Parks, Public Lands, and Public Health in Indiana will be held on Sept. 25 in the Indiana Memorial Union at IU Bloomington. Carnegie classification recognizes IU Bloomington for community engagement

Indiana University Bloomington has been selected for 2010 Community Engagement Classification by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching. The classification recognizes the campus's commitment to engagement through economic development assistance for the state of Indiana, arts and cultural programming, service-learning and community volunteerism, international studies and partnerships, research in areas such as health and education, and other activities.
