IU President McRobbie to lead university delegation to Africa

Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie will leave Saturday for a two-week trip to Ghana, Kenya and South Africa, the first trip to Africa by a sitting IU president in more than two decades. McRobbie will also be the first IU president to tour the groundbreaking AMPATH program in Kenya, a partnership between IU and Moi University in Kenya and one of the world's largest and most comprehensive programs to combat HIV/AIDS.   Full Story >>

IU Women’s Philanthropy Council awards more than $120,000 in grants

The Indiana University Women's Philanthropy Council will award grants totaling $124,730 to 12 schools or organizations affiliated with four IU campuses. The awards range from $4,000 to $20,000 and will support projects that foster community outreach, career development, public health, student philanthropy, education and diversity at IU Bloomington, IUPUC, IUPUI and IU Southeast.   Full Story >>

IU expands strategic partnership with Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou

Indiana University has expanded on a strategic partnership with Sun Yat-sen University in Guangzhou, China. The partnership has resulted in the opening of a new philanthropy center at SYSU, the first major center for the study of philanthropy in South China, which has been modeled on and developed in partnership with the newly named IU Lilly Family School of Philanthropy.   Full Story >>

Hess named vice president for university clinical affairs, dean of IU School of Medicine

Dr. Jay L. Hess, currently the Carl V. Weller Professor and chair of the Department of Pathology and professor of internal medicine at the University of Michigan Health System, has been selected as the new vice president for university clinical affairs and dean of the Indiana University School of Medicine, subject to the approval of the IU Board of Trustees at its June meeting.   Full Story >>
