Steve Zegree Vocal Jazz Camp begins new life at IU

Another chapter in Steve Zegree's activities at IU begins this summer with the first annual Steve Zegree Vocal Jazz Camp. Offered to high school and college students, teachers and professionals, the 2013 camp has welcomed more than 40 participants this June from 16 states around the U.S., as well as Switzerland and Sweden. IU Jacobs School of Music appoints Walter Huff to full-time choral faculty

The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music is pleased to announce that renowned opera chorus master Walter Huff will join its faculty as associate professor of music this fall, pending approval of the Trustees of Indiana University. Celebrate Verdi's 200th birthday with free 'Requiem' performances by IU Jacobs School of Music

The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music will celebrate Giuseppe Verdi's 200th birthday with a free public concert of the Italian composer's "Requiem" at the Center for the Performing Arts in Carmel, the school's first formal appearance at the center's Palladium. The performance, at 8 p.m. Friday, April 19, will feature the Jacobs School's Concert Orchestra, Oratorio Chorus and four student soloists. Full Story >>

Singing Hoosiers to present first Spring Concert with new director at IU Auditorium

The Indiana University Singing Hoosiers will perform their first spring concert with new director Steve Zegree at 8 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at the IU Auditorium. The 63rd annual family friendly spring event will open with a unique number written, arranged, produced and choreographed by members of the group, followed by compositions of Hoagy Carmichael, Cole Porter, Billy Joel, Mozart and others, showcasing up-tempo choreography and a high-energy style.
