IU Jacobs School of Music partners with IU Cinema on 'Double Exposure' featuring student composers and filmmakers

Following a successful premiere last year, "Double Exposure" -- an annual project that pairs composition students from the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music with IU film students -- returns to IU Cinema at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, March 3. IU experts: Plan to save nation's recorded sound heritage only first step

An Indiana University sound archivist who co-authored a national recording preservation plan released last week by the Library of Congress said the work to save America's recorded sound heritage has just begun. She and three other representatives from IU who served on task forces that helped create the plan said it is only a first step, and that the more difficult task lies in actually implementing its recommendations. Second Annual Central Indiana Audio Student Workshop to be held at IU Jacobs School of Music

The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music Recording Arts Department and the Central Indiana Audio Engineering Society are hosting the Second Annual Central Indiana Audio Student Workshop from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 16. The Indiana University Jacobs School of Music has announced its 2012-13 live streaming schedule, including performances from IU Opera and Ballet Theater. The streaming project provides an opportunity for anyone with a broadband Internet connection anywhere in the world to watch high-definition video of performances taking place on the Musical Arts Center and Auer Hall stages. Graduate Mike Flynn promoted to VP of Artists and Repertoire at Epic Records

Mike Flynn, a 1996 graduate of the Jacobs School of Music's Recording Arts Department, has been appointed Executive Vice President of Artists and Repertoire (A&R) and Staff Producer for Epic Records, where he will sign, develop, and produce new artists, while overseeing artist development and key aspects of the recording process.
