The U.S. Particle Accelerator School will present S.Y. Lee with its USPAS Prize for Lifetime Achievement in Accelerator Physics and Technology. Lee, professor in the Department of Physics at Indiana University Bloomington, will receive the award at the 2013 North American Particle Accelerator Conference held Sept. 29 to Oct. 4 in Pasadena, Calif.   Full Story >>

Journalism professor Martin named associate vice provost at IU Bloomington

Shannon E. Martin, a professor in the IU School of Journalism, has been named associate vice provost for faculty and academic affairs at Indiana University Bloomington. Martin will serve as the liaison for the campus-level Promotion Advisory Committee, develop faculty workshops and the New Faculty Orientation program, and meet with individual faculty members to discuss career development.   Full Story >>
