IU biologists researching regeneration

There's research going on at the IUPUI campus that may sound like science fiction. Scientists hope to someday find a way to regenerate lost limbs or digits. And they're looking to those that can regenerate for their answers. The IU Center for Regenerative Biology and Medicine at IUPUI has received a $1.6 million grant for its study of amphibians to identify genes and proteins that either permit or inhibit regeneration of tissues.
