It's football season. The 2006 IU Football Kickoff Luncheon and the IU Football Pep Rally will be held on Thursday, Aug. 24, and will be hosted by Emmis Communications in Indianapolis. The pep rally will begin at 11 a.m. at Monument Circle. The luncheon kicks off at noon at the Omni Severin Hotel. Hoosier Head Coach Terry Hoeppner and Athletics Director Rick Greenspan will speak at the luncheon to preview the upcoming season. Need a job? Find a job at the North Central Indiana Job Fair, Job Training, and Small Business Summit, at Indiana University Kokomo on Aug. 11 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in IU Kokomo's Alumni Hall. Regional businesses will be speaking with potential employees. IU Kokomo admissions staff, as well as representatives from other local education and training institutions, will be on-hand to suggest ways of improving job and career skills. Parking and admission are free. U.S. Senator Evan Bayh is sponsoring the fair, one of several he will host around the state that week.
