Davis is the third player in Indiana women's basketball history to be drafted into the WNBA joining former Hoosiers Quacy Barnes (1998, 21st pick by Sacramento Monarchs) and Jill Chapman (2002, 21st pick by Detroit Shock), and it marks the first player under head coach Felisha Legette-Jack to drafted into the league.

"We are extremely proud and excited for Jori," Legette-Jack said. "She has worked so hard in her four years at Indiana and her dream has been realized with her being drafted into the WNBA. It goes to show that people in this state are paying attention to Indiana women's basketball. What a great feeling knowing Jori will continue to represent the Hoosier Nation while playing for the state's team in the Indiana Fever."

Davis completed her four years as one of the most prolific players in IU women's basketball history. The Rochester, N.Y., native finished her career with 1,586 points, ranking her eighth on Indiana's all-time career scoring list and only the sixth player in program history to record over 1,500 points, 500 rebounds and 200 assists. Davis ended her senior campaign ranked among the best on IU's all-time single-season lists ranking sixth in points scored (565), fourth in points per game (19.5) and second in free throws made (179).

The senior also accomplished 5.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game during the 2010-11 season while scoring in double figures in 28 games and leading the team in that category in 20 contests. Davis was a two-time Second Team All-Big Ten selection during her career and is just the third player in IU history to record 500 or more points in two seasons while playing for the Hoosiers.
