The Marching Hundred will perform a pre-game show for fans in the stands at Super Bowl XLVI on Sunday, Feb. 5, at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis. David C. Woodley, director of athletic bands at IU and professor of music in the Jacobs School of Music, called the invitation to perform at the nation's most-watched sporting event a "once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," and said the news was received enthusiastically by members of the university's famed marching band.

Everyone is invited to attend the Marching Hundred's practice from 8:30 to 10 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4, at IU's Mellencamp Pavilion. Students will be in uniform and will be available to speak with members of the media.
