Golf legend Jack Nicklaus to deliver inaugural Delta Gamma lecture on values, ethics

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Golf legend Jack Nicklaus will deliver the inaugural Wilson Delta Gamma Lectureship in Values and Ethics, a new speaker series being launched on Indiana University's Bloomington campus.
Nicklaus will speak at 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 1, at IU Auditorium. The event will be moderated by sports journalist and IU alumna Inga Hammond, and the two will spend the evening discussing values and ethics in relation to Nicklaus' life and career.
Free student tickets for "Jack Nicklaus: Teeing Up on Values and Ethics" will be available Aug. 29, while tickets for the general public will be available Aug. 31. Visit the IU Auditorium Box Office between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday to obtain up to two free tickets per person.
In honor of Nicklaus' visit, Delta Gamma will donate to The First Tee, a Florida-based nonprofit dedicated to positive youth development through the game of golf.
The Theta chapter of Delta Gamma -- in conjunction with IU alumnus and four-time PGA Tour champion Mark Wilson and his wife, Amy, an alumna and former president of IU's Delta Gamma chapter -- has worked hard to begin the lectureship series at IU.
The fully endowed series will bring a speaker to campus each year, and follows 20 other Delta Gamma chapters nationwide that have developed such lectureship series. Speakers have included Maya Angelou, Michael J. Fox, Gerald Ford and Madeleine Albright.
