Media invited to tour renovated IU residence hall
EDITORS: The Division of Residential Programs & Services at Indiana University Bloomington has announced the completion of the first phase of a $12 million renovation project at Eigenmann Residence Hall.
One-half of the building will reopen to the public on Wednesday (Aug. 28). The first phase of the renovation included converting single student rooms into large double rooms equipped with new lighting, furniture, in-room heating and cooling units with personal temperature controls, and an upgraded fire protection system that includes sprinklers in student rooms. The second phase is scheduled for completion in August 2003 and will include the renovation of more student rooms and university offices.
On Tuesday (Aug. 27) from 10 to 11:30 a.m., Eigenmann Residence Hall will be open to members of the media who wish to tour the renovated student facility, including rooms. Professional staff will be available for interviews.
