Big Ten Network presents Big Ten Career Expo in Indianapolis

Event to take place in conjunction with Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Feb. 1, 2008

CHICAGO - The Big Ten Conference Career Expo, presented by the Big Ten Network, will take place Friday, March 14, at Union Station in Indianapolis. The career fair aims to pair students from 11 of the nation's most prestigious universities with the staffing needs of elite and industry-leading companies.

This is a chance for Big Ten students and alumni to be introduced to top-tier employers that are interested in filling full-time or internship positions within their companies. Expo participants are invited to register online at https://www.bigtencareerexpo.com.

"The Big Ten Conference Career Expo will be a great networking opportunity for students, alumni and employers," said Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament Manager Rich Falk. "In addition, downtown restaurants in Indianapolis will be designated for each Big Ten university, which gives Career Expo participants additional opportunities to meet other students and alumni."

The Big Ten Career Expo will be different than any other -- a business casual event with no suits necessary. It will take place in conjunction with the 2008 Big Ten Men's Basketball Tournament in the heart of Indianapolis. The event is presented by the Big Ten Network and hosted by the Indiana Sports Corp.

Some of the participating employers will include: Big Ten Network, Lilly, Wellpoint, Simon Property Group, Brightpoint, American Structurepoint, CareerBuilder.com, Coca-Cola Enterprises, Disney World Wide Services, Emmis Communications, Extron Electronics, Impact Networking, Indiana Sports Corp., Indianapolis Colts, Momentum, NCAA, Nordstrom, Pacers Sports & Entertainment, St. Vincent Health, Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd., Team Detroit (joint venture of several public relations firms) and The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
