"A Potpourri of Arts in the African American Tradition"

African American Dance Company, Choral Ensemble, IU Soul Revue to perform

The African American Arts Institute at Indiana University Bloomington will proudly present its ninth annual "A Potpourri of Arts in the African American Tradition" on Friday (Nov. 1) at 8 p.m. at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, 114 E. Kirkwood Ave.

Featuring performances from the African American Dance Company, African American Choral Ensemble and IU Soul Revue, this year's theme is "The Best Is Yet to Come." This piece, previously recorded by Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Mass Choir, will be the grand finale of the event and will be performed by the three ensembles together. The theme is a reminder of upcoming performances of the African American Arts Institute this year.

Tickets are available at the box office at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater. The cost is $7 for students and senior citizens, and $10 for adults. For more information or to schedule interviews, contact Alexandra Atkins at 812-855-5427 or aleatkin@indiana.edu.
