Two IU Diversity Committees to meet on June 18

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Two Indiana University diversity committees are scheduled to meet Thursday, June 18.
The IU East Commission on Diversity and Equity will convene from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Community Room of Whitewater Hall on the Richmond campus.
At IU Northwest, the Diversity Annual Report Committee will meet from 1:30 to 3 p.m. in Hawthorn 469 on the Gary campus.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
