Two more IU diversity committees to meet in September

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Two more Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet in coming days.
The IU Bloomington Diversity Committee will meet Thursday (Sept. 24) at noon in Room 256 of the Department of Communication and Culture building, 800 E. Third St.
At IU South Bend, the campus Diversity Committee will meet on Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. in Room 3300 of Wiekamp Hall.
Earlier this month, diversity committees convened at IU Northwest, IU Southeast and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
