IU innovators offered seminar series on venture funding, start-up development

INDIANAPOLIS -- Dr. Keith March of the Indiana University School of Medicine and IU Vice President of Information Technology Brad Wheeler will kick off a new seminar series for IU faculty and graduate students on the topics of venture capital and company start-ups.
Sponsored by ProLiance Energy and The IU Research and Technology Corporation, the series begins Monday, Feb. 22, with a half-day session at University Place Conference Center, Indianapolis, that runs from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Additional seminars will be conducted in Indianapolis this spring before the series moves to the IU Bloomington campus during Fall 2010. Additional support comes from the Office of the Vice President for Research at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis and The IUPUI Solution Center.
Confirmed guest speakers for the series include Clarian Health Ventures Chief Executive Officer and President Matt Neff, EndGenitor Chief Executive Officer Ron Henriksen, Mark Reiff of Lonegran Partners, and IU faculty members and entrepreneurs Ali Jafari, Bruce Molitoris, Linda Malkas and Bob Hickey.
