IU Diversity Committees to meet in March

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University diversity committees are scheduled to meet on three campuses in March.
The IU Bloomington Diversity Committee will meet at 9 a.m. on Tuesday (March 2) in the Charter Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.
The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Diversity Cabinet will meet on March 10 in the Auditorium at Crispus Attucks Medical Magnet High School, 1140 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St., from 8:30 to 10 a.m.
At IU Northwest, DARC -- Diversity Annual Report Committee -- will meet March 11 at 2:30 p.m. CST in Room 115 of the Library Conference Center on the Gary campus.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
