IU diversity committees to meet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University diversity committees are scheduled to meet on three campuses in April and May.
The IU Bloomington Committee will meet Tuesday (April 20) at 9 a.m. in the Charter Room of Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.
The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Diversity Cabinet Subcommittee will meet at 3 p.m. on May 11 in Room 102 of the Administration Building, and the IUPUI Diversity Cabinet will convene at 8:30 a.m. on May 26 in Classroom 259 of Inlow Hall, home of the School of Law-Indianapolis. Both buildings are on the Indianapolis campus.
The IU Southeast Diversity Committee will meet at 10 a.m. on May 12 in Room 154 of University Center on the New Albany campus.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
