Media advisory: Credentials available for covering Indiana 9th District debate

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- News media are invited to cover the 9th District congressional debate between Democratic Rep. Baron Hill, Republican Todd Young and Libertarian Greg Knott. The debate will take place from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 18, at the Buskirk-Chumley Theater, 114 E. Kirkwood Ave.
Candidates will be available to respond to questions from news media following the debate, beginning at 7:15 p.m. The debate is sponsored by the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs.
No video cameras or flash photography will be allowed during the debate. Indiana University public television station WTIU will broadcast and provide a mult-box feed. Parking will be reserved for satellite trucks with advance notice.
To request media credentials, complete the attached form and return it to Steve Hinnefeld at the IU Office of University Communications. You may e-mail the form to slhinnef@indiana.edu, fax it to 812-856-4265 or mail it to 530 E. Kirkwood Ave., Suite 201, Bloomington, IN 47408-4003.
The deadline for requesting credentials is noon on Oct. 18. Media should be prepared to show identification when they arrive for the debate. Parking is available in downtown Bloomington on city streets and in the city parking garage at Fourth and Walnut streets.
