Media advisory: 2004 drug survey results to be announced
EDITORS: A new report by the Indiana Prevention Resource Center at Indiana University Bloomington contains findings from the center's 2004 survey on adolescent use of alcohol, tobacco and other drugs in Indiana. Most of the state's adolescents continue to make the healthy decision to avoid drug use, but some of the findings signal a need for increasing prevention efforts statewide.
The major findings of the IPRC survey will be announced by Beverly Watts Davis, director of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration's Center for Substance Abuse Prevention, during her conference presentation on Tuesday (Aug. 3) from 1 to 2:30 p.m. at the Indianapolis Convention Center in the Sagamore Room. From 2:30 to 2:45 p.m., reporters will be able to ask questions.
The Indiana University Office of Media Relations will issue a news release on the survey results on Tuesday at 3 p.m.
