IU Diversity Committees to meet in February

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Five Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet in February.
The Indiana University Bloomington Diversity Committee will meet Wednesday (Feb. 9) at noon in the Redbud Room of the Indiana Memorial Union on the Bloomington campus.
At IU Northwest, DARC -- Diversity Annual Report Committee -- will meet Feb. 16 at 10:30 a.m. CST in Room 110 of the Library Conference Center on the Gary campus.
On Feb. 18, the IU Kokomo Diversity Committee will meet at 10 a.m. in the Bogle Room (KO130) in the Main Building on the IUK campus, and the IU South Bend Campus Diversity Committee will meet at 2 p.m. in the Administration Building Boardroom on the South Bend campus.
The Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis Diversity Committee will meet at 8:30 a.m. on Feb. 24 in Room 1116 of the University Library on the Indianapolis campus.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
