FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 15, 2011
INDIANAPOLIS -- The Susan G. Komen for the Cure Tissue Bank at the Indiana University Simon Cancer Center will benefit from a new community initiative launched by the 2012 Indianapolis Super Bowl Host Committee.
"Indy's Super Cure" campaign is designed to raise awareness about the Komen Tissue Bank and increase the diversity of breast tissue donations toward a goal of advancing breast-cancer research.
The Komen Tissue Bank, established in 2006, collects healthy breast tissue and blood donations that are then provided to breast cancer researchers globally. The data derived from that research is made available collectively to researchers.
