Media advisory: Major announcement at IU Kelley School of Business

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie, IU Bloomington Interim Provost Lauren Robel and IU Kelley School of Business Dean Dan Smith will join Lilly Endowment in making a major announcement Wednesday, Jan. 11, about undergraduate business education at the Kelley School and the role the school plays in developing Indiana's economy.

WHAT: News conference with IU President McRobbie, IU Bloomington Interim Provost Robel, Dean Smith and others to make a major announcement about the future of the IU Kelley School of Business.

WHEN: 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 11

WHERE: Kelley School of Business Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education Center, Rooms 3059/3065, 1275 E. 10th St., Bloomington, Ind.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

Arrangements have been made for reporters to cover the event. Reporters are encouraged to park on the top floor of the adjacent parking garage on Fee Lane, directly behind the Godfrey Graduate and Executive Education Center. They will be able to proceed directly to the event through doors from the garage on that level. After arriving, media will be provided with parking passes that will allow them to exit the garage without payment. Please print out a copy of this advisory and bring it with you. A camera platform with audio plug-in will be available at the back of the room.

Broadcast-quality video of the news conference will be delivered live to Indianapolis television stations via the Bloomington-to-Indy fiber link beginning at 1:30 p.m. Network affiliates are encouraged to contact local stations for assistance in obtaining a satellite feed.

The Kelley School has long had a significant presence in Indiana. Currently, more than 3,200 students from Indiana either major or minor in business at Kelley, and more than 25,000 Kelley graduates live in Indiana. Kelley students are engaged in over 300 "real-world" projects annually for companies across Indiana, and more than 160 Indiana companies recruit Kelley students each year.
