IU Maurer School of Law to host Minority Law Day

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- The Indiana University Maurer School of Law will host its annual Minority Law Day from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, at the law school, 211 S. Indiana Ave.
The event features representatives from the Maurer School of Law and 10 other law schools across the country. Prospective law students will observe a mock class, attend an LSAT prep session and hear remarks from professors, students and admissions officers.
"Minority Law Day is a great way for students who are thinking about law school to find out what the experience is like," said Frank Motley, Maurer School assistant dean for admissions.
Developed as part of the Law School Admission Council's Discover Law initiative, Minority Law Day is open to all high school students and college freshmen and sophomores. Participating law schools this year include Michigan State, John Marshall, Ohio State, Louisville, Notre Dame and Valparaiso.
There is no charge to attend Minority Law Day, but an RSVP is requested. Registration and more details are available at law.indiana.edu/minoritylawday.
