Hoosiers to benefit from Lilly Foundation gift

Eli Lilly and Company Foundation will present the largest one-time donation from the Foundation to an institution or cause. The funds, presented to the IU Cancer Center, will be used to recruit nationally recognized cancer scientists to strengthen the research initiatives and progressive care available in Indiana.
Speakers will include cancer survivor Jerry Throgmartin, president of HH Gregg Appliances; Sidney Taurel, Eli Lilly and Company chairman and CEO; IU Vice President and School of Medicine Dean D. Craig Brater, M.D., Executive Associate Dean for Research Affairs Ora Pescovitz, M.D., and IU Cancer Center Director Stephen D. Williams, M.D.
