Perishable food storage guide
The food items below should be stored at 40 F or cooler and then discarded after the noted duration.
- Cooked meat or poultry: 3-4 days
- Opened lunch meats: 3-5 days
- Soups and stews with vegetables or meat: 3-4 days
- Gravy and meat broth: 1-2 days
- Fish, raw: 1-2 days
- Fish, cooked: 3-4 days
- Fish, smoked: 14 days
- Shellfish, raw: 1-2 days
- Shellfish, cooked: 3-4 days
- Egg, tuna and macaroni salads: 3-5 days
- Raw egg yolks or white, out of shell: 2-4 days
- Eggnog, commercial: 3-5 days
- Juices in cartons, opened: 7-10 days
- Buttermilk: 7-14 days
- Whipping cream, whipped and sweetened: 1 day
- Pudding, open: 2 days
- Cooked fresh vegetables: 3-4 days
- Cooked pasta: 3-5 days
- Pizza 3 to 4 days
- Cooked rice: 7 days
- Stuffing: 3-4 days
