INDIANAPOLIS -- Indiana University and Ivy Tech Community College officials today (March 4) will announce a new partnership agreement between their Richmond, Ind., campuses. The agreement is expected to build on past collaborative efforts that have resulted in greater educational opportunities for Hoosiers.
WHO: Indiana University President Michael A. McRobbie and Ivy Tech Community College President Thomas J. Snyder.
WHAT: They will preside over the signing of a new partnership agreement between IU East and Ivy Tech Community College Richmond, both of which are located on the same campus and serve residents of east central Indiana and west central Ohio
WHEN: Ceremony begins at 3 p.m. today (March 4).
WHERE: Indiana Statehouse, second floor, south of the rotunda.
WHY: The document, known as a "statement of mutual purpose," represents another major step in the continuing effort to create a seamless learning system for post-high school Hoosiers. It builds on agreements already in place that enable credit transfers and course alignments.
