South Bend, IU officials to announce grant for early high school project

School of Education's Center for Research and P-16 Collaboration part of Riley High School project

Media Advisory: University Dean of the Indiana University School of Education Gerardo Gonzalez will join South Bend school officials for an announcement regarding a major grant to James Whitcomb Riley High School.

WHAT: Dean Gonzalez will take part in South Bend Community School Corp.'s formal announcement of a National Governors Association Early College Planning Grant. The grant will go toward plans for the Riley Early College High School. Riley High School leaders will talk about plans for the initiative and acknowledge partners, which include the Center for Research and P-16 Collaboration at the IU School of Education, the Center of Excellence in Leadership of Learning (CELL), IU South Bend, Ivy Tech South Bend, the South Bend Community School Corp. and the City of South Bend.
