Science Olympiad returns to IU Bloomington
More than 1,000 students, parents and teachers will visit the Indiana University Bloomington campus March 29 for the 2003 Indiana Science Olympiad tournament final.
The 50 or so student-scientist teams that performed well at regional finals held around the state will vie for the chance to compete in the national Science Olympiad finals in Columbus, Ohio, in May.
Members of the Indiana Army National Guard and the U.S. Naval Surface Warfare Center Crane Division will be on hand to assist students, ensure safety and supervise the traditional bottle rocket launches and "storm the castle" catapult events.
