IU, PURDUE STUDENTS, FACULTY AND STAFF COMPETE THROUGH BLOOD DRIVE
The Sixth Annual IU vs. Purdue Blood Donor Challenge is underway. IU alumni, students, faculty and staff from across the state will donate blood to the Indiana Blood Center in a friendly competition with Purdue.
There will be four opportunities for students, faculty and Monroe County alumni and fans to donate blood: Thursday (Nov. 1) at Read Center, Friday (Nov. 2) at a mobile unit in the Assembly Hall parking lot, Nov. 8 at Foster Quadrangle and Nov. 13 in the Indiana Memorial Union Solarium. All on-campus drives run from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.
The blood drive is sponsored by the IU Alumni Association and Purdue Alumni Association. Every donation IU fans make at an Indiana Blood Center facility or sponsored drive will count in this competition, which runs throughout Indiana from Oct. 27 until Nov. 17. The university with the most blood donations will be honored at the IU-Purdue football game Nov. 24 in Bloomington.
