IU Diversity Committees to meet

BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Indiana University Diversity Committees are scheduled to meet on three campuses in coming days.
At Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis, the Diversity Management Committee will meet on Nov. 12 from 3 to 4 p.m. in the IUPUI Administration Building, Room 103; and the Diversity Cabinet Annual Review meeting will take place on Nov. 13 from 10 a.m. to noon in the IUPUI University Library, Room 2115E; and the Diversity Cabinet Subcommittee will convene from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the IUPUI Administration Building, Room 102.
At Indiana University Northwest, the Diversity Annual Report Committee will meet on Nov. 13 from 1 to 2:30 p.m. in Library Conference Center 115 on the Gary campus.
At IU South Bend, the campus Diversity committee will meet on Nov. 18, from 1 to 3 p.m. in Wiekamp Hall, Room 3300E, on the South Bend campus.
The Indiana Code requires that similar committees be formed on all campuses to review and recommend faculty employment policies concerning diversity issues; review faculty and administration personnel complaints concerning diversity issues; make recommendations to promote and maintain cultural diversity among faculty members; and make recommendations to promote recruitment and retention of minority students.
