Are Chimpanzees the Most Proficient Animal Tool Users?

WHAT: Keynote speaker: Robert Shumaker from the Indianapolis Zoo. Among all animals, chimpanzees have historically been described as showing the greatest frequency and diversity of tool behavior. It has also been speculated that chimpanzees are "the only true tool user" aside from humans. Are these conclusions still valid? In this lecture, an updated analysis will be presented that addresses this question.
